2. The most important thing to me is the low price, but I enjoy that its right on the beach and find the rooms comfortable and the staff nice.

3. Every shower we took was, at worst, comfortably warm (if not hot) and, while we didn't try ballroom dancing in the bathroom, it did not present any problems for us doing the things that people normally do in a bathroom.

4. The Kapa'a area has everything you 'need', much of it within comfortable walking distance, [The Coconut MarketPlace, steps away, is VERY useful] and if you rent a car (which I'd HIGHLY recommend) you can drive all around the island easily using the Kaua'i Sands as a 'home base'.
