2. With regards practicalities, the Hotel location is exceptional if you want access to the Beach (it's 2 blocks from the statue of the 'Duke' on Waikiki beach).

6. Having the buses right in front of the hotel was otherwise a great advantage--a number pass frequently that go most places, and we got by fine without a car except the couple of days we explored the island.

9. There's no vanity mirror except for in the water logged bathroom, so I learned to routinely put a towel in front of the closet mirrors and sit on it to primp.
