1. stayed here last week for 3 nights part of our trip was 3 nights in new york which was in the manhattan times sq small but ok then by amtrak to washington staying at the wardmanpark which i thought was very good we had a big room an they even put in a fold up bed for my friends son who was on our trip so we all had our own beds could not fault the service from hotel staff at all to me it was 5* .

Obviously I like this property, it isn't new but is has class, charm even for a large hotel and the Wardman Tower, if you like the high ceilings , extra space even in a standard room, quiet, a view (my room looked South towards the Washington Monument) and the ambiance and charm not found in many properties in DC.

4. When I checked in I inquired about my room, and was told they had a nice king for me in the new section.

5. While it would seem that Marriott could get top dollar for the rooms in the old Sheraton Park (now Wardman Tower) with a bit of paint, new wall paper and better linens, they plan to tear it down.

Our last day/night, the neighbors on one side left a dog in the unit (that barked all day long - so much for catching a nap to make up for the lack of sleep from the nights before) and then that evening the new neighbors in the adjoining room decided to return from the bar early and cheer on their favorite basketball team.

8. McDonald's, Lebanese Teverna, three Italian places, Mexican, Chinese, a new York Market (?Deli), and a Sushi place that serves Thai and Japanese cuisine.
