2. The service is mixed at best and often just bad, the convention room rate might be attractive, but you will overpay for everything (particularly any onsite business services), your food options are not good, and by the end of a five day convention you will be very, very happy that you are leaving (no matter how much you like DC, and, especially, if you like good hotels).

7. That being said, I was happy that they upgraded me instead of just not fixing my problem, and the service in the hotel was good--room service was decent and arrived quickly, bell service was efficient, and the location of course is excellent for access to the Red Line Metro, walking to Adams Morgan, etc.

10. There's a Starbucks across the street from the Zoo- challenging stroll to the National Cathedral, but worth every step- check out happy hour at LiLLiEsAlso, we never went to a hotel near the National Mall- we stayed an extra night in our 'Home Suite Home'.
"I decided to not read reviews prior to our stay--so it would be a surprise " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/29/2011 Vote
