1. I was expecting a very nice king and what I got when I opened the door was a huge, full, one bedroom parlor suite with a very decent bath, balcony off the parlor, pantry off the parlor, large parlor with dining table and 4 chairs, desk, sofa, etc.

That being said, I was happy that they upgraded me instead of just not fixing my problem, and the service in the hotel was good--room service was decent and arrived quickly, bell service was efficient, and the location of course is excellent for access to the Red Line Metro, walking to Adams Morgan, etc.

10. And when the Marriott Wardman Park popped up for a reasonable price, I was quite excited, especially since it was close to our favorite sushi place, looked like a decent hotel, and was pretty centralized for our plans.
