1. In spite of initial problems with parking (the street was blocked off for construction, and there was no way to even drive in front of the hotel, so we ended up looping around the hotel twice before we found a spot to park), I knew from previous experiences that Westin hotels were very high quality, and I was ready to forgive the front desk assistant who acted surprised (and didn't really seem to care) when we told her the whole street in front of the hotel was blocked .

2. the concierges helped us with so may things, quit was very stressful and they managed and helped to relieve some stress and allow us to focus on the immediate problem.

Here's the complaints:1-Room not ready until AFTER 4:002-They held onto our bags and insisted on delivering to room BUT TOOK OVER AN HOUR 3-Lost one bag in process but was finally recovered4-Wrongly charged for snack bar5-FINALLY, had a $100 unauthorized charge on credit card that I noticed the next dayWestin is a great chain and I've never experienced the problems I had in Philly.

4. She understood my frustration, got a manager to handle the problem immediately and then provided a complimentary glass of wine for my trouble.

5. HOWEVER, when I explained the problem and hassle of trying to get it to work to the Concierge, Gerri Diggins, she was WONDERFUL.

6. Noise from adjoining rooms was minimal -- I could hear the hair dryer through the connecting doors to the room next door, but not the TV, conversations, or other noise, so it was not a problem.

7. Front Desk said my credit card had a problem; I called Visa and there was nothing wrong with it whatsoever.

8. After a quick call to the hotel explaining our dillema they assured us that there wouldnt be a problem and that they would make the stairs accesible to us.
