1. The rooms are worn out.

2. Some people might think it's a little worn-down but we appreciate the patina of this classic gem.
"Big Easy, Old World Charm " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/24/2011 Vote
3. Some badly needed sprucing up could make Le Richelieu a pleasant hotel: it is on a human scale, the reception staff is very helpful, the bedding is comfortable, but the carpets are worn, the bedspeads dark and dull, the general decor gloomy with plastic flowers everywhere, the lights in the bathrooms depressing and amenities are limited to a bare minimum.

4. The onsite restaurant is nice place to eat when you're worn out from walking all over the Quarter.

5. Pinkish beige bathroom with worn out tiles, 1965 bed spread, red carpet, big wooden armoir with a 1990 tube TV.

6. It's not worn or bad, but it's one of those places that, if you found it when looking to buy a new house, you might pass it up since there would be a lot of major work to modernize it.
"A great place to stay in the French Quarter, away from the chaos! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   11/14/2009 Vote
7. It has worn a bit over the years and could stand some updating, for example I think they're using the same bedspreads as we found 15 years ago.
"Always a Good Choice " Read full review on Expedia   9/23/2009 Vote
8. This hotel has seen better days, but it made up for its worn condition by having a very friendly and helpful front desk, the great location and free secure parking at a super reasonable price for the French Quarter.
"Great Price / Great Location / Free Parking " Read full review on Expedia   9/8/2009 Vote
9. Room decor was a little dated and worn, but well-kept.

10. I had read reviews about the hotel being 'worn around the edges' and 'run down' - to be honest, apart from the ancient TV ( which still had a remote and worked perfectly) the hotel was absolutely spotless and the furniture fitted in perfectly with the age of the building and the style of the FQ ( it was certainly not worn)A special word must go to the staff - never in my my life have I come across such a friendly and helpful staff - they continually gave us useful tips and suggestions for things to do and were always willing to chat - not something you often find in hotels these days.
