1. The salt-water pool is an oasis of tropical pleasure and as the charming, octogenarian owner says, the lack of chlorine prevents damage to 'the ladies hair-does.

5. I have to assume that the owner has been caught in a double-whammy of a the Katrina tragedy and the awful economy, but that doesn't excuse the layers of grime, peeling wallpaper and leftover hair in the bathroom, and the room prices were too high for the lack of quality.

6. We were driving, and after seeing the lack of parking anywhere in the French Quarter, it was a pleasure to be able to pull right into their private parking lot.

8. We could, however, hear a folks out on balconies on the floors below us (the 4th floor lacks such balconies) on a couple of occasions when they got a bit boisterous.

10. But then, it`s really my view that 'smells' and cleanliness or lack thereof are much more 'tomato/tomahto' individual things, rather than tangible 'the TV didn`t work' problems.
