1. An excellent location - central for all the excitement of Mardi Gras, especially for Frenchman Street and the French Market, but nicely away from the madness.

2. It's close enough (walking distance) to everything in the French Quarter you would want to do, but far enough away from the madness of Bourbon St that you can get a great quiet nights sleep.
