6. If you are accustomed to staying in upscale hotels with new and updated everything, then this place probably isn't for you, and that's just too bad because this is one of the most unique and charming hotels I've ever had the pleasure of staying in.

8. When we first traveled to NOLA in the mid 90's, this hotel was considered to be in a 'bad' section of town, and since we were with fairly young children, we opted to stay elsewhere.
"A Welcome Surprise " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/27/2011 Vote
9. Some badly needed sprucing up could make Le Richelieu a pleasant hotel: it is on a human scale, the reception staff is very helpful, the bedding is comfortable, but the carpets are worn, the bedspeads dark and dull, the general decor gloomy with plastic flowers everywhere, the lights in the bathrooms depressing and amenities are limited to a bare minimum.
"needs sprucing up " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/1/2010 Vote
10. Not bad overall.
"Comfortable, but no frills! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/20/2010 Vote
