1. We were incorrectly billed and I have yet to receive a response back from the GM which prompted me to post this review.

2. The local inspector told me that in fact there had been 'quite a few incidents' in this hotel but they were mostly attributed to incorrectly placed sensors in the kitchen, the inspector was under the impression the hotel had resolved this but he would follow up.

3. (Long story short, we had prepaid our stay for work yet my private credit card was still charged again for the room- thus leaving me witha very hefty charge on my own account- then was incorrectly refunded to my colleagues credit card by mistake instead of mine- you get the drift here.

4. )- The decor is 'cool' in the same way a Grammercy Park Hotel is, whimsical design in lobby and rooms- Rooms are decently sizeCONS:-VERY VERY inconsistent service, if you are a frequent traveler, you will really notice that the SLS does not have strong service, examples: sometime calls would not be answered at front desk for up to 20 rings, newspaper was delivered to my door 6 times out of my 10 days (what happened the other 4 times???), Valet service was inconsistent, sometimes they were very quick, other times extremely slow when seemingly no one was out front, Bill had numerous incorrect charges: including double valet charges ($32/day), and Minifridge charges (Never even opened it once).

5. However, after arriving at the hotel I noticed that the negative reviews were incorrect-the hotel, my room and the service was wonderful.
