1. It even smelled fresh not like the usual stale old room smell.
"Love The Curtis!! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/18/2012 Vote
2. The rooms still have low popcorn ceilings, beds don't seem to have much of mattress pad so they are hard and fairly uncomfortable, the moldy thin shower curtain takes away from the otherwise nice bathroom, the strong perfume smell on the floors is weird, and the elevator carpet is filthy.
"It's ok, I wish I liked it more. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/14/2012 Vote
3. Rooms were nice and smelled wonderfully, room service was quick and ran back down to get me something upon request.
"Amazing experience!!! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/19/2012 Vote
4. My theory is that disturbing as it is that previous customers' smells, germs, etc may linger in a windowless environment, the harsh chemicals that are in most cleaning agents also pile up in there too.
"Nice rooms with great views but the non-opening windows are the deal-breaker for me " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/10/2012 Vote
5. The rooms smelled a little old and musty but were very clean.
"Super nice staff! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/9/2012 Vote
6. As far as the musty smell, we only noticed it in our closet, which we just left open, so our clothes weren't permeated with the smell.
"Whimsical hotel, great service and atmosphere. Loved it! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/7/2011 Vote
7. I was on the 13th floor--would love to know if all rooms have this smell (like wet, old wood).
"What's that Smell??? Too Bad Because Restaurant Could Be Good. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/3/2011 Vote
8. Stayed 3 nights and each time I entered my room, the musky smell was overpowering.

9. The room was tiny and smelled of mildew.

10. Windows didn't open, and there was an odd smell (I'm assuming from the air conditioner, which couldn't have been used much, yet - the smell went away when we turned the AC off).
"Fun hotel, great location " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/6/2011 Vote
