1. Yes the walls were a bit thin, but I've experienced this in a lot of hotels and would not know where to apply blame for such an issue.

3. It was possible to hear people both in the hall and talking somewhere else, an adjoining room??? The water pipes were a bit noisy and just lead us to believe they would have issues someday.

4. I complained to the hotel after I had left as I felt reception staff were very unapproachable and they were very good about the issues I had expereinced which is why I won't go further with what i found.

6. The desk clerk was fantastic, no issues about this late check in, and gave us a great 5th floor room.

7. The themes do not extend into the rooms (which I think is largely good); the rooms themselves are pretty standard-issue DoubleTree, with comfortable beds, decent (if corporate) furnishings, a nice working area, etc.
