3. I ordered thru Hotwire & initially room was very small, but I guess they were slow & Louis was sweet & upgraded me to a beautiful larger room.

The other note to mention is the sundries store downstairs, big sign says closing at 10pm - it is 9:15 - we walk in to buy water and were told rudely 'We're closed' uhhhhh okay but your sign says 10pm, response was 'well it was slow' I mean all we wanted were bottles of water, but hey everyone has an off day i guess.

7. We did join the loyalty program, but did not inform the hotel until our arrival, so the services associated with this were a little slow in coming.

8. Because of the parade, they were very busy, and I don't think they were staffed for it, because it got a little slow to get a drink re-fill or our bill, but we were in no hurry and we understood.

10. There are many modern hotels so full of nothing, empty of all I describe above, they could be in any part of the world, soulless - so step back in time, slow the pace down and wallow in the luxury of peace and good manners.
