1. I'm not sure if there is some kind of kitchen right around that area but it was very loud.

Frankly, though, it probably wouldn't have mattered where we were put, as soundproofing was pretty much non-existent: when seated in our room, as far away from the room door as one could be, I could clearly hear the conversations of people passing by in the hall, and they weren't even talking loud.

8. It is very loud-there are large gaps under the doors and so any noise in the hall is loud in your room.
