5. Nordstroms and the BART are nearby, The W is a relatively small place, lacking the shops associated with larger hotels, but it's relatively quiet and has an adjoining restaurant, naturally called the XYZ.

7. Overall I wouldn't pay through the nose for this hotel, it ticks most of the boxes but lacks the cooler edge of most other W Hotels and there is plenty of good competition in San Francisco to choose from but if you get a good rate then I would give it a try.

8. The only issue I had with my hotel room was a poor quality hairdryer and a lack of the room being dusted (on the i-pod stand/clock).
