1. The negatives: lobby is dull and front desk check-in experience was disappointing - served by a gentleman (rather unfriendly).

3. Now, after all that, luckily my lady at check out made up for a lot of the negatives: Very unlike the check in lady, she wad friendly, helpful and pleasant.

9. close to all the shops of union square and walkable to all attractions including Pier 33 for Alcatraz (approx 40 mins)2) Clean room which had everything you needed3) Helpful concierge - provided useful maps and books (which had discount vouchers for local stores)negatives:1) Check in took a long time as the woman serving us was rather confused about what she was doing and took a while to get the roomOverall a very positive experience and a fantastic location for walking through a wonderful city.
