1. Very good location if you want to jog or walk along the water or take the water taxi's and also a short walk to 30 rock and short cab ride to MSG.

2. ) The hotel rooftop bar scene would rock in warmer weather, but the indoor part features some of the most uncomfortable seats and chairs I've ever experienced (pick the couches instead, if they're open.

7. A bit off the beaten path on the west side of midtown, but I work all over NYC and in NJ and it is excellent for jumping in the Lincoln tunnel or walking over to Times Square, rock.

TIPS** if you are wanting yo do a sky scrapper view do the rock at the rockerfeller - we did both Empire State and The rock (both pix attached), while the empire is a must the feeling of freedom and space at the rock is breathtaking and the rock blocks some of teh view from the empire - you will also get great snaps of the empire from here which you will not get anywhere else, the rock has 3 levels and is $10 cheaper too.
