1. unfortunately, the best part of the hotel and the true reason we stay here ( Matilda, the famous Algonquin cat) was banned by Mayor Bloomberg's administration during our stay.

5. We only got to stay one night unfortunately, but the hotel staff was great, very accomodating, the rooms weren't large (we ended up with a queen bed), and the location was superb.

6. Our room was unfortunately on the 3rd floor and every night sometime between 2 and 4am I was awakened to hearing street noise that sounded like a dump truck loading bottles of glass.

8. I called down and spoke to Nelson the night manager who explained that it likely was wrapped up in the bed linens when they were changed but unfortunately housekeeping was closed for the night.
