1. The staff was professional, prompt and made our stay special - far to contrary of some other poor reviews.

2. Overall we loved the location, the room was great but the poor level of service and the fact that this is the only hotel in all our travels that we have had items go missing would lead us personally not to stay here again.

4. Although we had stayed before, we also read tripadvisor reports that repeat customers were unhappy and they had poor customer service and that the new Marriott 'takeover' some how had changed their beloved Algonquin.

5. Pro's: location, history, somewhat cleancon's: tiny bathrooms (RV sized), shabby poorly done 'renovation', poor service, noisy.
