1. It's important to understand that the hotel is in the Upper West Side, which in my view is a big plus, but others will consider a downside.

2. The only downside is there is free wireless, but it didn't reach us on the 9th floor, so we had to go to the lobby when we wanted to google something.

5. The downsides: 1) The staff is really unfriendly, which for some reason just bugged me the whole time.

6. The only possible downside is that the street adjacent to the hotel on the east side, Amsterdam Ave, is quite loud at night and the soundproofing of the windows is not the greatest.

7. Minor downsides included a couple of slightly stained towels (quickly and cheerfully replaced) and a window that didn`t quite close (no problem, just pulled the drapes).
