1. It seems to be far from anything else but I'm still not sure what is in SD? The hotel has a shuttle to the SD Zoo which was good but not one to Seaworld (cost us $25 each way in cab) and not one to Safari (too expensive for cab and no other option offered).
"Clean room, easy access to SD Zoo, free wifi " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/30/2012 Vote
2. Parking (self or valet) is expensive.

6. Usually those rooms are pretty expensive since you have a great view (and it really is great, it was one of the few good things).

7. After spending 4 reasonably expensive nights at the hotel and entertaining friends and family within the hotel restaurants, I didn't feel that one extra hour was a lot to ask for, and it would have made our transfer to the airport that much more comfortable as we could have used the time available in a more relaxed fashion.
"Service Without A Smile! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/23/2011 Vote
8. We pointed out that our bill included 2 days of the valet service instead of 1 (an expensive service at $28 per day), the emotionless Receptionist fumbled with her keyboard for a good five minutes in complete silence before printing of a new bill and leaving it on the counter - an apology was clearly out of the question.

9. By comparison to San Diego's more expensive options, the Holiday Inn Bayside is a slightly better-priced alternative that will satisfy your basic needs if you're willing to forego the fancier touches a four- or five-star.
"Average hotel in a good location " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/1/2011 Vote
10. Check in was seamless, parking way too expensive.
