1. I called the front desk to tell them about the problem, and a somewhat gruff maintenance man came up to survey the damage (hello--I told them I JUST got out of the shower--maybe give me a little time to dry off).

5. We didn't like the idea of the valet parking situation (having heard about cars at other hotels getting damaged and stuff) so we decided to park at my husband's job and take the metro down to Dupont Circle.
