1. We booked on a 'Prepaid 40% off sale' rate which made the hotel rate excellent value for money and we had excellent stay.

(Try the L'Enfant or the Mintation if you don't want alcohol - yummy!)The Sofitel is definitely an upper end hotel and can have the prices to go with, but I can honestly say that everything I spent money on was so worth it - the drinks, the appetizers, breakfasts, dinners, etc. Mainly because it offers so many things that are priceless - a wonderful experience, a worry-free stay, a great night's sleep and being treated as if you were a friend.

10. If you want to eat outside the hotel I'd thoroughly recomment the Old Ebbitt Grill just 5mns walk away - grate food, quick service and top value for money.
