1. Our friends had a different experience - problems with room keys not working, room got assigned to someone else (but quickly corrected), issue with billing.

3. (The Ritz Pentagon City's room service bill said 'Marriott' on it; I can only assume they contract out for that, which explains why the Ritz food is bland and in no way fits anyone's conception of a Ritz standard.

4. The woman at the front desk was really nice, immediately took it off the bill, but everything seemed to be our fault and the hotel didn't take responsibility for anything which was odd.

6. upon check out we got M&Ms from the mini bar but didnt appear on bill, we told the receptionist we had got them, she gave them to us for free because we were honest which was nice.

8. They dealt with the difficulty of numerous families sharing rooms, changes in billing and in one case, a requested room that turned out to be unavailable--all with patience and grace.

9. The service in the bar was equally as bad, it would take many attempts to get the bill, sometimes you would receive nibbles with your drinks, and at other times not.

10. My only qualm was that the hotel automatically adds a tip to restaurant bills and I ended up double tipping on my bills during the first days of my stay until I asked a waiter what the 'sc' charge on my bill stood for.
