4. From the front desk, to the bell staff to the concierge to the staff in the restaurants, all are helpful, attentive and friendly.

5. Bacara is in Goleta, which is an easy 15 miles to Santa Barbara and slightly closer to Montecito, both of which are charming cities packed with good restaurants.
