Only one person working on at the front desk, and that person also has to take care of other stuff, like
parking
.

Additionally, the cost of the place for any amenities that might be conducive for a weary traveler -aka convenient
parking
, continental breakfast, room service, mini fridge-are non-existant.

You should expect a silent night - the hotel is in the heart of the Gaslamp District which stays awake until 2 a.m. You should also not expect great
parking
- you are in the heart of the city but you can expect shopping and restaurants and a waterfront walk right from the hotel doorstep, efficient and pleasant staff and courteous service.

:)
Parking
is a little steep for my taste, but I think that's pretty common in Cali.

Cafe 222 is just in the next block, and a diagonal cut through the public
parking
lot next to it takes you right to the Marriott end of the convention center.

Parking
: We paid $25 for
parking
for 1 day, then to park a few more hours past noon was another $14.

Amtrak is just over a half mile from the Horton, and if we had taken a taxi from Amtrak it would have cost less than the
parking
.

Second, and I know this will seem nit-picking but it was pretty important to us at the time, they had no change for metered
parking
outside.

In case you don't know, there is no non-metered
parking
in the Gaslamp area.
