We were in San Diego for Comic-Con, so the given understanding is that all the hotels are maxed out and you have to settle for whichever hotel you get; but the other side of that is the expectation that the hotel will be more than 'just a bed', particularly when paying over $200/night and paying another fortune in parking fees.
