7. Heavy rains in the area must have spooked some visitors away, because when we checked in, the person at reception offered us an upgrade to a 4th floor, pool-view 'Hill Country Suite' for $100 more per night: it sounded good ('normally a $700 room'), and we bit.

8. The only things I will warn you about are these few little things:-high speed internet is available for a fee and I didn't see wireless-shop at a local grocery store to stock up on some essentials so you don't pay $4 for a bottle water-we had breakfast in the General Store and spent 1/2 what we would have spent for almost the same food in the sit-down restaurant across the hall and we brought it outside to enjoy the views while we ate.
