6. While in Miami we were centrally located to: dinner in Little Havana (go to Versailles restaurant and be sure to drop in on the bakery next door to bring a few delicious items back to your hotel - on SW 8th Street); a short drive over to South Beach; a free people-mover electric tram over to AA Arena for a Miami Heat game; a drive to the everglades for a short airboat tour of the alligators and birds native to the glades; and a not too long of a drive to Sawgrass Mills Mall for great retail and outlet shopping, just northwest of Miami.

7. There is a mall of sorts on the first two levels of the hotel (it is also connected to the Marriott via doors and to the Omni and parking garage via a skywalk across the street) .
