Feels like it was recently renovated, all the usual amenities are present - the
lobby
has a nice little bar and seating area (first time I'd seen a bar that was staffed with bartender at a springhill suites).

Kevin was an outstanding front desk person - helpful in every way possible from giving directions, helping with
lobby
computer, making change, getting taxi cabs and all done with a smile.

But there were enough places for five to sleep, we had a mini fridge and sink, a desk, a coffee pot, etc. Coffee was always available in the
lobby
, which was nice.

We did not have breakfast here as we wanted to go out for a special brunch--Memphis has lots of restaurants that feature jazz brunches or other live entertainment and dishes we cannot get in our hometown restaurants--but we got morning coffees there (there is a nice fireplace in the
lobby
to sit by and sip coffee.

I stayed in the separate 'historic' Kress building which is connected to the main building, which was a pain because I had to use two spearate elevators every time to go from the
lobby
to my room.
