2. The location is great, across the street from the Galleria, and just minutes from Downtown, Medical Center, etc. Plus for the Galleria the hotel`s car will take you over there for free.

The key is the great value: the rooms are in cute boutiquey style and clean and well laid-out; the staff consistently friendly and helpful and professional; its location is great -- quick to Galleria, quick to downtown or museum district, quick to River Oaks; and it's so easy to get to from 290 and I-10.

5. The rooms are very big, nice beds, good TV etc. The hotel is well located, directly opposite the huge Galleria complex and only minutes from downtown.

Just got back from a three night stay at Hotel Derek in Houston Texas- my colleague and I were in town for a trade show-so we thought we would stay a little bit out of downtown - the first night- she got back to her room at 8:30 pm after setting up a trade show booth all day(heavy, hard work)- and her room had not been touched- she complained -but at that time of night didnt want anyone coming up to clean.

10. I have staid in two other hotels in the city (The JW Marriott in the same area, and the Four Seasons downtown) and thought that this hotel would be a trendy and fun change of pace.
