1. Also, there are really no restaurants other than pizza type foods that are close enough to walk to with one exception.

7. Some of the redeeming factors about this hotel were that it was the cheapest available in Charlotte's city center area, it was a short 5 block walk down to the Epicenter nightlife center (past the courthouse, jail, and bustation; safe though), and the AC was ice-cold.

8. The kids used the outdoor pool at night (with pool towels provided), and we were a short walk to EpiCenter (not really for kids) but the restaurants in the area were very nice, as was the walk.
