1. such a good hotel located close to everything in downtown SF (around 10 min walking to union square) although the neighborhood doesn't look that safe as you can see many homeless ppl around especially at night, it is perfectly safe to walk around even at night.

7. It is a shame it's a nice building, great location 5min walk up the road you are central to everything, but it is so dirty and the homless outside just really let it down.

The upsides of staying here are: 1) cost - it is inexpensive 2) staff - extremely helpful and 3) location & convenience (a BART station to the airport is about 1/2 a block away and it is near many of the government buildings, libraries, art museum etc. Also within easy walking distance of several very nice commercial, restaurants and shopping areas.

9. Whilst it is conveniently located on the tram line (market street) close to a train station and within quick walking distance to Union square, it seems to be a haven for the homeless and there was a constant smell of pot and urine in the air.
