1. We faced the street but had no issues with noise.

2. We walked to a great restaurant several blocks away and saw an incredible Train concert at the Great American Music Hall and walked back to our hotel and we felt safe on the streets and especially comfortable in our room.

4. Just note that the street is pretty quiet at night after 9.30pm so you need to be extra careful when you are alone.

6. I had brought my bike and they stored it for me and also gave me tips yo avoid the expensive parking (the secret: If you come on Saturday, street parking is free from 6 p.m. through Sunday and, unlike other SF neighborhoods, you can actually find parking around there).
