7. I personally am glad others find the neighborhood terrifying because they can stay at the Wharf and Union Square where the homeless hoards they fear travel daily to panhandle them mercilessly while I enjoy my comfy bed and great rate.

10. The neighborhood is a bit off so it is important to follow staff directions for coming and going in the evening, but we walked back from Union Square with no worries.
