1. Sam's Diner right across the street is a good place for breakfast and much cheaper than the Grill.

5. The Civic Center area (across Market Street and about a block to the right) has some amazing waffles at the Waffle Mania Truck and really good chicken and potatoes.

6. The location, although on an undesirable stretch of Market Street puts the Whitcomb very close to a lot of attractions like the Civic Centr and the Cable Car stop and the Museum of Modern Ary.

7. The Bart drops you right off at the Hotel, you can walk anywhere, there are some great places to eat and drink nearby, 2 diners across the street that have great benedicts, and a Starbucks in the lobby where I can get my coffee and paper every morning.

8. It was a long walk but I must say it was an interesting walk, besides the homeless, we saw lots of beautiful buildings, art, unique stores, street vendors, and just a lot of character.

10. The fan coil unit was functional and unobtrusive, and I give bonus points for actually being able to open an awning window for fresh air without any significant street noise.
