1. Great inexpensive hotel located on the door step of China Town and the main shopping areas of Market Street and all the high end boutiques.

2. Although you are not able to have breakfast at the hotel, there was a Starbucks a couple of doors up the street, a great bakery around the corner(suggested by staff member) and other cafes nearby all reasonably priced.

5. If you stay here I would recommend requesting a room though that is not street facing, as the street cleaning in San Francisco is very noisy and woke us up a lot.

There are several delicious bakeries within a couple of blocks, including my favorite: Bread and Cocoa on Sutter (you'll walk past on the way towards Market Street and the BART)--be sure and order the $5 namesake, which gives you a generous mug of ultra rich cocoa and a quarter baguette toasted with Nutella, peanut butter, and bananas.
