4. We were a short walk from museums, shopping, restaurants and bars and felt comfortable taking the bus back from Haight later at night after going out over there (plenty of public transportation stops are on Market Street, just a few blocks away).

7. The Friday and Saturday nights were quite loud outside and the hotel and coffee bar opposite seemingly work through the night, so there was some noise from that as well as the bin men who turn up very early in the morning.

9. The staff were very friendly, very helpful and keen to assist in any questions about public transport, restaurants, bars etc. Hotel is ideally placed for shopping.
