1. I walked from hotel to fisherman wharf on Sunday am and if you get on columbus ave will see some great places to dine in north beach.
"Great value for a union square stay " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/10/2011 Vote
2. If you are a walker, like myself, it was close enough to North Beach, Little Italy, The Bart, The Muni, and of coarse the Starbucks located two doors down.
"Would Stay Again " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/16/2011 Vote
3. Location was good, and allowed easy access to Chinatown, North Beach, and Ferry Building for sightseeing and dining in the evening.
"Worked fine, very basic " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/10/2012 Vote
4. North beach (little Italy) was a scenic walk through china town in 15 minutes.
"Great value in a great location " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/26/2011 Vote
5. Services were basic - no breakfast, $10 daily for internet, minimal TV stations, no fridge and 'room service' is really a call for take-out delivery - but given cleanliness, price and location at epicenter of downtown (above plus pleasant walk through Chinatown to North Beach or to the Embarcadero) this hotel simply cannot be topped.
"Good hotel, excellent for cleanliness, price and location! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/18/2011 Vote
6. If not inclined to walk buses in Stockton St (one block over) run through North Beach ( a must visit) to the Wharf.

9. Lots of buses running in Stockton Str which will get you to North Beach etc- BTW for all you deli fans out there-do NOT miss going to Molinari's deli (323 Columbus Str) in North Beach-yummy sandwiches-dont go on Sunday though-surprisingly its closed-I guess the money is no longer important to them.
"Adequate " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/6/2009 Vote
10. Also, it is just a block away from Chinatown (you can literally see the Chinatown gate from the hotel doorway), North Beach, and is amidst all the great downtown SF shopping.
"Decent value, great location " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/11/2008 Vote
