1. The room rates are no bargains and the valet parking cost more than my daily rental rate, but hey this is a Ritz-Carlton and I didn't pick the hotel for its value.

5. Because of the significantly reduced occupancy rate (a cab driver mentioned anecdotely that while fully booked previously, the hotel was experiencing occupancy of only 30% lately), I was able to get a great rate that included daily breakfast for two, valet parking, and internet access, amounting to at least $100 worth of giveaways.

6. We valet parked our first night then moved our car to a car park one block away for the second night - we paid 7 dollars for that second 24 hours.

8. The service wasn't as great as it should have been or can be- our room wasnt made up until after 5 pm, and then they forgot a few items; the valet parking attendant was belligerent with my husband when he tipped the wrong one of the three standing around our car- but everyone was polite, the hotel was beautiful and we will return.
