1. I was intown for work and stayed at the Ritz Carlton because of the good rate I got.

2. When I noted this, they fixed it, but then only credited back the cheapest night, not the package rate, so it had to be done again.

Because of the significantly reduced occupancy rate (a cab driver mentioned anecdotely that while fully booked previously, the hotel was experiencing occupancy of only 30% lately), I was able to get a great rate that included daily breakfast for two, valet parking, and internet access, amounting to at least $100 worth of giveaways.
