The bathroom, however, was very nice, it was obvious that money had been put into renovations (marble floor, new tiling etc.), HOWEVER, where the carpet meets the marble at the doorway, there was a nail that stuck up underneath the carpet that I inadvertantly stepped on that ripped a big cut on the bottom of my foot.

4. I can't imagine how much money our friends spent for their wedding at The Drake but I'm sure they would have been mortified to hear about the rooms that their guests were given especially since they were 'promised' that everyone under the group booking would be nicely taken care of.

6. Save your money, skip The Drake, walk through it if you want to check it out, but there are plenty of beautiful hotels in the magnificant mile area for alot less money.

9. But for all of you readers, those days are over and unless they spend some money to update the rooms, bathrooms and hire more, better or different housekeeping - this place will stay on my DONT list for Chicago.
