8. Unlike some other hotels where we've stayed downtown or in the River North area, the Hotel Monaco suites on the upper floors are always quiet, clean and comfortable We also enjoy the window nook seats and the jacuzzi.

9. The free wine happy hour was a good idea, and we also enjoyed the free morning coffee, although it would have suited us better if it had not ended at 9am every day we were there.

10. The coolest things about our huge two-room suite (corner room with river view) were the three 3'x6' window seats with large, soft pillows and a cushion that you could stretch out on and watch the city go from day to night.
