1. It proved to be worth it, however, for several reasons: 1)I waited to stay here until I could split the cost with someone else 2)since we had a hearty lunch, the 4 to 6 happy hour served as dinner (which saves one a LOT in New York City, 3) the location is wonderful for walking to a number of sites that one is going to want to see.

3. The wine is good, they serve a few different cheeses, grapes, olives and a selection of crakers so if you have had a big lunch this may be all you need for the evening.

4. Although it isn't cheap there are lots of extras that improve its value - excellent breakfast and each evening a selection of cheese, bread, fruit and snacks along with red, white or sparkling wine which can serve as supper if you've had a good lunch or are rushing to the theatre.
"Comfortable, well located with hidden extras " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/8/2011 Vote
5. The location is perfect, one block from subway (green line), central station (excellent coffee counter- Joe the art of coffee- entrance on lexington, gray passage), one block from ny library (check out the stuffed animals at the origins of Winnie the Poo), Bryant Park in the back for a great place for a lunch (in the summer, outdoor movies on monday night), walking distance to the theaters, central park, am museum of natural history and museum mile on the east side, to NBA store and Nintendo world- Rockefeller center, to the Morgan library and the empire state bldg, and also walked easily to greenwich to watch some street basketball (6th ave and w4th st) followed by a stroll in the washington sq park, picture of the washington mews as well (hot chocolate afterwards at Max Brenner near union square).
