1. The Grand Hyatt fit the bill - however I would strongly recommend it for couples or families looking for a 'resort' experience.

3. The food was pretty good and we were usually so full we could just eat appetizers or share a sandwhich at lunch by the pool rather than loading up on unhealthy calories and adding a lot more to the bill :) Of course, we did plenty of calorie loading with the drinks from the pool bars so maybe that is a moot point.

4. They will book all the extra trips in kauai when your there making all of your reservations like horseback riding, ATV, Tubing, Botanical garsens and you just bill them to room, they make it easy to get around to the tours with pamplets and great directions printed.

5. Tidepoools is nice its kind of on a lagoon with koi- but expect to leave there with a bill for two of 100 plus.

8. Not only the management wiped out our bill completely at the Sea view terrace, we got free appetizer at Tidepools that wasnt even on the menu, I just asked if they had anything resembling the traditional pooled pork you get to taste at Luau, so the waiter came back with a bowl of pooled pork and at the end surprised us with a desert that we also didnt get charged for.

10. After a quick phone call to the front desk the drilling stopped and for our inconvenience $50 was also taken off our final bill.
