1. The Tuscan Inn is in an amazing location, just around the corner from the tram, 5 minutes to Fisherman's wharf and opposite a little shopping arcade where we found a nice little Chinese restaurant for lunch.

4. Despite the makeshift concierge and check-in desk, everything went smoothly, we were given a complimentary upgrade, and as Best Western members we received a certificate for 10% off our lunch or dinner at their Cafe Pescatore downstairs.

6. There is Trader Joe's and a Safeway grocery store within a block, and the room has a mini fridge (no microwave) so it's easy to feed yourself cheaply for breakfast and lunch.
