Location was great for North
Beach
, the Embarcadero, the Wharf, the Marina District, and even the Golden Gate Promenade was a nice walk.

Overall, there are not so many good restaurants close by, but the area is really convenient to North
Beach
, and you can catch a bus or cab to Chinatown, Polk St.

The only other thing we noticed was that there was a musty smell in some of our guest rooms, like a

Blanket Babylon theater, and Fisherman's Wharf restaurants, etc. (You can be in Union Square in no time on the cable car, which is fun.
