1. The lobby area is nice and big and contains 3 places to get food: a small coffee place that serves Starbucks; the 'Foggy Bottom' which is like a pub - serving up pub grub plus beer and wine and liquor; and finally the American Grill which serves good dinners and breakfast.

2. This make easy access from Reagan Airport and super great for hopping on and off Metro for sightseeing, and dinner.

3. The only drawback(and it is not just this hotel) was that on this side of the Mall there are very few to no restaurants that are great for supper/dinner.

4. At the end of the day, the L'Enfant Plaza Hotel is a comfortable place to relax either over dinner at the American Steak & Seafood Restaurant, or at the Froggy Bottom Pub for a more casual atmosphere (Great Fish and Chips, by the way).

10. Short walk to the Capitol Building, Space and Air Museum, Smithsonian Castle, etc. For dinner we hoped the Metro for 2 short stops to Chinatown and ate at Clydes where I fell in love with the steak.
