Breakfast is non buffet served a la carte and is expensive so an inclusive
rate
is best if you can get it.

That being said ~ it takes A LOT to impress me since I work in the industry AND these
rate
s usually mean no extras and certainly no upgrades.

**Monday Night Luau is great, food much higher quality (but very small portion) and each round of next food was sometimes far behind the emcee's announcement of what it was but the show was first
rate
and a nice contrast to Polynesian CC.

I had booked a Royal Grove room after doing some research, and got a good deal through the hotel's own SPG
rate
, which was as good as any of the deals that the major booking sites were giving me.

.

The 'pink palace' is certainly an expensive hotel, but fortunately we scored a fantastic
rate
by using the Starwood Best
Rate
Guarantee (if you find a lower
rate
elsewhere, Royal Hawaiian will match it plus an additional 10% off).

We were able to get into the Royal Hawaiian this time and got a great internet
rate
by pre-paying for the room so it worked out to be much less expensive than the Halekulani.

We actually pretty well stayed 80% at the hotel and reallyenjoyed the hotel instead of rushing around doing everything like tours etc. I
rate
this highly and we will be back in Novemebr.

The latest AAA rating I saw in November didn't
rate
this as one of the best luxury hotels in Hawaii.
